There is something oddly comforting about realizing you are not alone in being wrong about almost everything.

Josie D-G and Kayla P in episode 14 of Casting it Out. With special guest Henry the Spotted Pup.

In this week’s Q+A episode of Casting It Out, we leaned fully into the chaos. The small embarrassments. The big overthinking spirals. The moments where confidence carried us straight in the wrong direction.

We talked about being judged for not being emo enough, knowing only the hits, and pretending to understand things just to fit in. About confidently giving wrong directions, refusing to navigate ever again, and the deep emotional reaction to someone cutting you in line.

We shared the very specific stress of sucking it in to make clothes look good, hating outfits we once loved, and suddenly feeling like an oversized sweatshirt makes you look like a linebacker. We talked about trend regret, pick me phases, and trying to be one of the guys before realizing what was actually happening.

We also touched on something deeper. How easy it is to be overwhelmed by small inconveniences while staying calm during real crises. How we lie about life being great because we don’t want people to feel bad for us. How overthinking your choices can make everything feel like it’s quietly unraveling.

This episode isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about naming the feeling. The embarrassment. The anxiety. The moments we thought we were nailing it and absolutely weren’t.

Being confidently wrong is part of being human. And sometimes, the most comforting thing is laughing about it together.
